Growing up on Aruba, I studied classical guitar and piano. I also learned to sing, coached and encouraged by my Mother whom is an avid musician herself.
However, from the start my true passion in music was in writing, arranging and performing. Music practice often meant: trying new things and expirementing with chord progressions and melodies.
At 13, I joined my first band, first as a bass-player, later as the front man.
Throughout my time on Aruba, I played in various bands, lastly in Exit Only, where we scored a number of modest hits on the Aruban music charts in 1991. I also sang in The Noël Singers, a Christmas choir with an annually televised Christmas special.
Music in the Netherlands
After moving to the Netherlands to study, I kept working on music in various roles: as a singer/songwriter, bass-player, singer and guitar player. Currently, I play in a trio: The Boys of Summer. In The Boys of Summer I sing and play bass.
In March of 2014, I released my first solo album "Right Here", an album about the journey from mid-teens to the late thirties.
Let It Ride
In April of 2016, I released my second studio album "Let It Ride". The album is a collection of songs about life and love.
